The service

visittanzania.io publishes first-hand accounts written by its users about travel, businesses and services in Tanzania. It is provided free of charge and as-is.

Your account

You need an account to post. You must give a working email address, you are responsible for what is posted from your account, and you may not create an account on behalf of someone else or impersonate anyone. You may close your account at any time.

Your content, and what we may do with it

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute it as part of this site, and to keep serving it if you later delete your account, in the form of the post itself.

You confirm that what you post is your own first-hand account, that you have the right to post any photographs you upload, and that it complies with the posting guidelines.

Content is not verified

Posts are the opinions and accounts of the people who wrote them. We do not verify them, and we do not endorse them. Scam reports in particular are allegations by members of the public, not findings of fact by us. Prices are what one person says they paid on one date and are not quotations, offers, or a guarantee of what anything will cost you.

Use your own judgement. Nothing here is professional, legal, financial or safety advice.

Moderation and removal

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, where content breaks the posting guidelines or the law, or where an account is used abusively. We aim to explain the reason. We record moderation decisions.

If you believe something on this site is unlawful or defamatory, write to legal@visittanzania.io with the URL and what specifically is wrong with it. We aim to respond within seven days. A business named in a post may also respond publicly through the site, and that response is published alongside the post.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or from your reliance on anything posted on it, including any dealings you have with a business mentioned here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may change these terms. If we make a significant change we will say so on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
